SMART Inventory Manager for Maximo v6 & v7 Configuration

Course Fee: $2500 USD

This course provides instruction in SMART Inventory Manager Application configuration and deployment. It is designed to enable SMART application users and solution partners who will configure the SMART mobile technology to streamline operations and secure the data management needs to better report, plan and schedule. The course delivers a sophisticated skill set for personnel that are already comfortable with the Agentry Development platform.

The course has five days of classroom instruction.

This class builds on the knowledge gained from the Agentry Essentials class. As such, all students must attend either the Syclo Agentry Essentials Class or must successfully complete the Agentry Essentials Self study prior to being approved to enroll in this class. The availability of the self study will be made on a case by case basis and does not serve as a substitute for the Agentry class itself but only as preliminary material. Requirements

  • Complete Agentry Essentials Class or Self Study course(Mandatory)
  • Java Programming knowledge
  • Experience with Eclipse IDE (or WebSphere IDE )
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Familiar with the Maximo application
  • In addition, students must bring the following to class.
  • The device(s) you are deploying. Note an actual client installation is part of the curriculum. Appropriate handheld power & connection cords

Course Objectives:

Understand how SMART Inventory Manager fits within the corporate net Inventory environment, security model and Maximo deployment

Be able to install and configure an out of the Box Inventory Manager application and configure standard functionality listed on the implementation planning form

Understand the Application architecture of the SMART Inventory Manager application

Understand SMART’s administration tools and log files and be able to administer and maintain a Inventory manager Installation

Understand the steps in troubleshooting as well as the tools available to troubleshoot an enterprise SMART Inventory Manager deployment

Be able to make screen and business logic changes as well as deploy common configurations such as Electronic Signatures, Printing, Attached documents, and current Balance Check.  

Be able to understand and efficiently plan customer deployments

This is a five day, Monday through Friday, course. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. US Central Time. Please make travel plans accordingly.
